Satisfactory but won’t be repeated. Positive: Lots of space and nice location Negative: Dealing with fact that there are so many admin layers. It’s an AirBnB property on Booking.com that then uses another property platform (Truvi) to ask for more personal information. We didn’t find out about it until after they accepted our $$$ and we then had to use them or risk losing our weekend. We’ve never dealt with this type of sub-contracting before on Booking.com and the messages we received from this 3rd party we assumed was spam (asking us to give passport details etc). Giving out personal details to untrusted platforms is a big NO for me (never heard of Truvi before). The Booking.com policy for this listing just said we’d be asked for a bond payment hold of $400, 7 days prior. Standard practice. We accepted this as part of our booking. We did not however sign up to any 3rd party Truvi intervention. This lack of transparency left a bad taste to an otherwise satisfactory but overly priced stay.
